Leo Renaud leads our laboratory operations, specializing in the testing and development of custom mineral extraction methods tailored to your specific material. With over 41 years of experience in the mining industry, Leo brings extensive expertise in operational efficiency, process development, and circuit design. He has also pioneered environmentally responsible extraction methodologies that can streamline approval from environmental agencies.

Dean Taylor
About Dean
Dean Taylor is a highly accomplished Professional Process/Mechanical Engineer with over 22 years of mining industry experience. He specializes in process equipment design, project management, and technical support. As the owner of Inventive, a process equipment company, and the management of Iron Mountain Design Build project in Vanderbilt, PA, Dean is expanding field representation and design build networks across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Innovative Designs:
Dean has designed and installed gravity gold concentration systems for hard rock, placer, and the recycling industry over the course of the last ten years. His past projects include countries such as Canada, Mexico, Guyana, and the United States. He has also invented a cutting-edge system capable of collecting three different metals in their purest forms.
Technical Expertise:
Dean’s expertise spans dewatering and dry-stack tailings, water management, gravity circuit design, flotation, leaching circuit design, and ion exchange. His systems are adaptable for both alluvial and hard rock mining with minimal equipment design. Beyond mining, his work extends to industries such as cement plants, power plants, paper mills, offshore dredging, and metals recycling.

Through Inventive, Dean provides consulting, engineering, project management, and technical support, leveraging a network of top industry professionals on a contract basis.
Previous Role at Metso Minerals:
Before founding Inventive, Dean served as Wear Products Engineering Field Manager at Metso Minerals, covering Canada and the United States. He specialized in rubber compounding, metallurgical compositions, and ceramic technologies, while educating clients on equipment protection and cost-saving strategies in harsh mining environments.
Additional Technical Focus:
Dean has extensive experience in grinding equipment, including ball mill liner installations, liner design, equipment design, and grinding process education. His global network of colleagues enables him to address technical challenges worldwide.
Personal Life:
Dean resides in Florence, Arizona, with his family after relocating from Ontario, Canada. He is actively involved in his community, running a Boy Scout troop, coaching in a USA-registered ice hockey league, and managing a family farm with various animals and dogs. Dean also enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with his family to explore new regions of the world, often forming lasting friendships with clients through his projects.
